Public talks on the documentary on Kim Corbisier

In 2022, almost ten years after Kim Corbisier's tragically young death at the age of twenty-seven, director Erika Kapronczai's documentary about the outstanding talented artist, Kim, was made and screened in November at the Verzio Film Festival to sold-out audiences. The works and life stories of the Belgian-Hungarian born Corbisier raise a number of artistic, sociological, institutional, psychological and other questions that are still valid today, and some of them are perhaps even more relevant today than ten or fifteen years ago.INDA Gallery will host public discussions on 15 and 22 February, with a screening of the film, and welcomes all interested parties to attend. The first will feature Erika Kapronczai, director of the film, Gergely Nagy, editor-in-chief of Mű, Kata Oltai, art historian-curator and Rebeka Erőss, clinical psychologist, who will discuss the institutional, institutional-critical, psychological and responsibility aspects of Corbisier's artistic and life career. The second discussion, with art historians Katalin Aknai and Dávid Fehér and painter Ágnes Uray-Szépfalvi, will focus on the art historical, theoretical, aesthetic and technical aspects of Corbisier's work. The talks will take place on Wednesdays 15 and 22 February at 17:30 and will be preceded by a screening of the portrait film at 16:00.The film will also be screened on Thursday 16 February at 16:00 and 18:00 at the INDA Gallery.
