We opened in 2006, in the heart of Budapest, at 34 Király utca, in a spacious private apartment, the spaces of which we thought were suitable for the design and operation of a contemporary exhibition space that goes beyond the concept and goals of the apartment gallery. In the years since the opening, our original intention has only been strengthened, and we are trying to shape the program by assessing our potentials. The deep and extensive cultural embedding of the area — and the Inda in it — along with several other commercial galleries (Knoll, Erika Deák, Viltin, acb) was still part of the Műcsarnok when it was founded It serves as the Ernst Museum (now Capa Center), the Mai Manó House, theatres, art cinemas, foreign cultural institutions (Polish, Czech), as well as social and entertainment venues such as the Szimpla Garden or the Gozsdu-Courtyard. The art that we strive to convey to the public, collectors and the profession as a regular participant or organizer of numerous non-profit projects and events is not limited to certain media or trends. Our goal is to select as wide as possible the works of renowned Hungarian and foreign (Polish, Indian, Bulgarian, Czech, Slovak, Swedish) artists and young talents who, in addition to being clearly and visibly up-to-date with the phenomena and events of their local and global environment, are clear, their own, not the transient. they build their artistic practice by following a path influenced by others. This is how all paintings, drawings, sculptures, photos, videos, installations, happenings are placed in our halls and in the Project Room at individual and group exhibitions — anything that the gallery management and the renowned invited curators working with them find worthy of presentation. Contemporary works that we believe are representative of a given artist, a certain theme, sensitivity, social-social phenomena. In addition to the exhibition program realized independently or in cooperation with other galleries and projects, Inda also organizes professional talks, non-profit events and charity events, publishes, publishes exhibitions, sponsors research and is a participant in international art fairs such as Art Dubai, FIAC, Volta NY, Artefiera, Art Karlsruhe, ViennaFair, Photo Fever, Art Market Budapest and others. The joint international exhibition Beyond the Obvious - Contemporary Women Artists from Central and Eastern Europe, Beyond the Obvious - Contemporary Women Artists from Central and Eastern Europe, held in September and October 2015 by Inda, Erika Deák Gallery and Viltin was awarded the title of Exhibition of the Year 2015 in 2015 and 2016, Boulin Artinfo is the 500 best galleries in the world He listed Inda among them.
