Marianne Csaky

In the form of photo-based works, video animations, sculptures, drawings, objects, lightboxes and installations, Marianne Csáky explores topics such as inherited narratives that live with us, individual and community memory, the interconnectedness of cultures, the political systems of historical eras, and the reality inherent in images, the rewritability of the present and the past. He regularly exhibits in Hungary and abroad. Many Hungarian and foreign private and public collections preserve his works. He has lived in China and participated in residency programs in France, Germany, the USA and the Southern Era. From January to the end of June this year he was a resident of the highly prestigious WIELS in Brussels. He lives and works in Brussels and Budapest.
