Art Dubai 2015 – 18 – 21 March

Inda brings Róza El-Hassan’s works to at J15 of Art Dubai (Inda will appear in Dubai in collaboration with Viltin Gallery).

“The painting is, first of all, an enigma. It does not lend itself to classification in the traditional terms of art history. An image like a mirage, Salam Haddad’s composition is presented with Róza El-Hassan’s delicate brushwork. The duration of this image is just the blink of an eye, yet, it sparks deep and fundamental temporal processes in us, which we project back unto the canvas” says the description of Transition, a 2009 painting to be presented at the fair. Besides this work, other paintings, drawings and El-Hassan’s most recent, 2015 installation, Lots of Place and Time – show me the way (wood, clay, sand, paint) will be displayed in Dubai.

VOLTA New York // Balázs Kicsiny // 5 – 8 March

Inda presents Balázs Kicsiny’s works at booth D18 of VOLTA NY. Following his retrospective exhibition in Turku (Finland) last summer and subsequently presenting his installation Killing Time Inda’s project room, Kicsiny will now return to New York with an object-assemblage (Epilogue to the Anthem, 2013), video (The State of Play), and paintings, including two large works from 2015.

All the works at VOLTA are related to Carambole, a game of the billiards family. For Kicsiny, this game is a performative expression of coincidence, determination and destiny.
